Zack update!

Hey Sister H!

Yep I'm in the office. Not because of something I did, but because of things I can do. Like fix stuff. I had my work cut out for me when I got there. One of the computers was making funny noises and was really sluggish. Elder Packer thought the hard-drive was dieing. He was afraid to use it. Upon further examination, I discovered that the power-supply fan was just a little noisy. The power supply may need to be replaced eventually. Also, the hard-drive needed to be defragmented.

Being in the office is pretty cool. They DO have the best missionaries there (duh.cuz I'M there!lol). The Winegar's aren't usually at the office. I think their office is at their house. So far they've only been here on Thursdays for staff meeting. We're basically Vice-Assistants to the President. We do what ever President needs us to do if the Assistants are unable to do something. My job is to update the media referrals or referrals that come from the MTC. It's kind of tedious, but it needs doing. Elder Packer does basically everything else. He makes the slide-shows and orders supplies and makes CD's. Just various tasks. We don't actually go to the Office too much. Usually, we work for a couple of hours in the office then we get to the field. Except on Thursday which is staff meeting day. Then we don't get out until late in the afternoon.

We are a little bit far from the office. The office elders used to be in Vorhees which is a little bit closer, but some of the previous Elders that had been in the office had used the excuse of being in the office all day so they didn't have to go out and work. The area basically died. So President decided to move the office elders to Burlington with the APs to try to bring Vorhees back to life. Or something to that effect.

I guess Kyle is er... I mean Elder Joyner is in the MTC now huh? That's exciting. How was the breakfast? I heard that they don't do the movie thing anymore because of the swine flu. Someone brought it to the MTC during one of those goodbye-meetings and I guess it spread like wild fire. So now they don't do that anymore to prevent sicknesses from entering the MTC. I think its lame, but I can see why they do it like that now.

What are you going to put down as floor for the kitchen? You should rearrange some walls and doors of the house too. and get new railing for the stairs. Then move the furniture to look funky. Did the down stairs ever get completed? I know there was baseboards and other stuff that needed to be put up. They were there, when I left, they just needed to be nailed in. Oh and what happened to the storage room(s)?

They have racquetball tournaments? Where are those held? Good luck! Maybe dad should be in it too. He's pretty good.

Yup that's pretty much it for now.

TTFN.

Love, Zack

Transferred Already!

New Address:
505 S Lenola Rd., Ste 124
Moorestown, NJ 08057-1590

Hey Mom!

Happy Veterans Day to you too! If you guessed that I am staying in Princeton, then you're wrong. I guess my grades weren't good enough or something. I'm actually now transferred to Burlington. I'm in the Office. So if you send me anything you can just send it to the regular address and I'll get it(505 South Lenola Rd). Or you can send it 408 Oxford Court Edgewater Park NJ 08010. Which ever I thought it was a little soon to be transferred, but I'll go where President wants me to go. I'm a little bit bummed to have to leave Princeton so soon. We had 2 baptisms lined up that I would have been there for. One is in December, and one is in February. Not bad for being white-washed in and having only been there 2 weeks and 2 days.

Sorry you didn't get the other pictures. Myldsmail is no luxury e-mail system. But, I recently found out that it's getting a major upgrade soon. I think by January I'll be able to use the new system. Hopefully I can send more pictures.

I'm glad Dad had a great birthfday. It sounds like he got to do some fun stuff. Its good that the funeral went well too.

Jake and John still don't have a job? Are they at least going to school or something? What are they doing now? What do they plan on doing with their lives? Are they going to live in the basement until they're 45?

The weather here has been bouncy too. It dipped down to almost freezing last week and it just started to warm up into the 70's a few days ago.

Those are some ferocious looking guard turkeys! Do they bite? I think they'll do a great job for a couple of weeks before they start to get lazy.

Tell Uncle Bob I said Happy Birthday!

Give Kyle a big ol' bear hug for me will ya? I'll need Elder Joyner's MTC address. I need JC's too. (DONE)

Tell Beth I said congrats! (new baby)

And tell Jake that he's MORE precious.

My new companion is Elder Packer. I've known Elder Packer vaguely through out the mission. I see him once in a while. He's from Texas. He speaks English and Spanish. He has relatives in Southern Mexico. He's pretty cool so far as I can tell.

Oh and I'm in a 5-man apartment. It's Me and Elder Packer(the Office Elders), and then Elder Gleed, Elder Clifford, and Elder Haslam(The APs) It's gonna be fun. It's my first not-a-two--man apartment.

So yeah I think that's it.

Love ya!

Zack

Dave's B-day N stuff

Happy 52nd Birthday Dave! I had to attend a funeral for my Aunt Elva all day, so we celebrated earlier in the week. Thursday, we went to dinner with Dave's family at the Texas Roadhouse. It was a little loud, but the food was great.

Friday a.m. was the Racquetball Gang Breakfast. Good food, Good friends! Dave got a new racket for his birthday! Watch out!

John, Anna, Leon, Wendy, Doug, Julie, Me and Dave. We just got done playing racquetball and here we are in all our sweaty glory! I got up early and fixed most of the breakfast and put it in a warmer to keep until we got back. We whipped up some eggs when we got home. I cooked sausage, bacon, blueberry muffins, chocolate muffins, cinnamon rolls, hash browns and eggs. We also had fruit and bagels, but everyone was too full to eat those. There was apple juice, orange juice, milk and chocolate milk. Best breakfast in town!

Big fire we passed on the way home from Idaho. I'm driving 80 mph and my mom hands me the camera. Don't worry, I made her take the picture!(Oh wait, I already told you about this!) I wish I would have thought to get a picture of the lone cow we saw on a hill in the middle of nowhere, no other cow in sight for miles. I'm thinking he woke up and said, "Hey, what the...! Not funny guys!"

Here's the update from Zack... He's going to Princeton! hehe

Hey mom!

T's going good. Hows about yous guys?

Getting along pretty well. He's a little bit trunky, but we get things done. He goes home in 45 days.

Princeton campus is in our area. In fact, we were just there yesterday street contacting. It's very beautiful. Some of the buildings look like castles. It makes me feel like I'm in London or something. The leaves are almost all off of the trees so everything is starting to look dead.

Now I see why they have you wear eye protection. Can you still see out of that eye? I hope your eye gets better soon!

That's sad about aunt Elva, drive safe!

Tell Dad I said Happy Birthfday.

This week was good. We went down to Camden on Sunday for a baptism that Elder Edgar and his companion, Elder McGee prepared before the switch. The Watt family has been mostly bapatized by Elder Edgar. They were really nice and bought us some groceries the day before to take home with us. We've been trying to visit some potential investigators, but haven't had much success. We're looking for investigators. This ward seems to be pretty missionary-minded, so hopefully, we can get some referralls to start teaching.

Stay warm and hope your eye feels better!

Love,

Zack

Crazy busy Day

We (Me, Aunt Belva and Mom) got up at 5 this morning and left for Jerome, Idaho by 6. We arrived and attended Aunt Elva's funeral and renewed friendships with our cousins. We left a little after two so I could make it home in time for Stake Conf.

We saw this fire just after we crossed the Utah border. It was very, very close to houses. It looked like a brush fire. (I was amused that my mom handed me the camera while I was trying to drive 80 mph!)

We dropped my mom off in SLC, made it home by 6 and ran over to the Stake Center. Got home around 7:30ish and fed the boys dinner. Dave had fun taking Jake shooting in beautiful fall weather.

Now it's 9:00 pm and I'm taking a deep breath. Up early tomorrow to sing in Stake Conf. The good news is, I didn't have to prepare a lesson for tomorrow!

Bye Aunt Elva!

This is my sweet Aunt Elva. She went to join Uncle Ivan in Heaven last Saturday. She was the last of her generation in the White/Jackson side of our family. She really used her time on this earth in a great way! Thanks for your great example to us Aunt Elva! We will miss you!

Killer Turkeys Keep Watch!

Intimidating right?
