Hey Missionary Mom!

All is well in Zion. We've reached EVERY goal we made this transfer except for sacrament meeting attendance, which we don't have very much control over because we can't force people to come to church we can only invite. We had over 60 finding hours that's over 10 hours a week. We were asked to do 5 hours a week. It's the most I've tracted in one transfer. This has also been one of the most successful transfers I've had while on my mission.

Hey Mom, I just realized something. Within 10 years, you'll probably be an empty nest-er. It'll just be you and Molly at home in the mornings and afternoons most of the time. Weird huh?

Emily's baptism went great! Her family was there and the spirit was there. Took some pictures and stuff. I was surprised that the family didn't come to the confirmation though. I guess they got scared or something might of come up.

That's all I have this week.

Love,

Elder Zack

Hey Missionary Mom!

Kyle's going to Tulsa Oklahoma!! Wow! That's exciting! That means that Kyle and JC will be in the MTC at the same time, But I think that Kyle will leave before JC.

No church on Sunday? That never happens! I can't believe I missed it. How was the Open house? I bet it was really crowded.

If you have snotty kids, you can keep them at your house (or take them to their other grandma!)! hahaha Mom if I have snotty kids in 7 years, which I don't think will happen, I'm going to bring them to your house every day for old times sakes.

Yeah I sneak a peek at your blog every once in a great while.

I still get up at 6:30am. I still exercise something whether its my brain or my muscles. I still have companionship study everyday.

It has started to cool off in the evenings. The past few days have had relatively low humidity, but we're still in the 90's. I can't wait for Autumn.

I'm not sure if we're getting rain from Hurricane Bob. There have been a few big rain/thunder storms within the last couple of weeks. Whether those were Hurricane rain or not, I do not know.

Elder Okamoto is doing good. He's gotten a lot better at the piano since I last saw him.

We're going to an addiction recovery class tonight to support Sunny. That will be interesting.

Well I gotta go. It wouldn't let Elder Beeston on for some reason so we have to find another place to do emails.

Love,

Zack

Missionary Musings

Hey Mom!

Yesterday Elder Beeston and I, had the oppertunity to meet Emily's Family. They invited us over for dinner. We were kind of nervous before we went to the dinner appointment. Emily's family is very nice. I found out she has a younger brother who is Mike's age. His name is Dan. Everyone was very polite. After dinner we asked to share a simple and brief message with them and they consented. They liked what we shared about faith. They liked us so much that they invited us back another day for dinner and/or breakfast!

Another exciting event: Elise McNaughton just got back from BYU last week. We were at the McNaughton residence for dinner a coulpe days ago and Elise was talking to us about her non-member friend, Erin, who went to BYU with her. After we left, later that night Elise called us and told us that Erin said that she wanted to be baptized. Erin lives in our area so we will teach her. Erin and Elise invited us back over for dinner on Friday. Erin wants to tell her parents why she wants to be baptized and she wants us there to help explain things.

Yet ANOTHER thrilling happening: Sunny, an investigator who has been taught everything, has decided to quit smoking. We went in to set a date of smoking-abstinance with her. We tried to set it 2 months away to give her plenty of time, But she said, "2 Months? Nah-uh. How about a month?" We had not qualms against that, if that's what she wants. So we set the quit-date for September 10.

We are still planning on having Emily's baptism this Saturday at 6pm. Everything is set. *THUMBSUP*

We are definitely being blessed.

Well that's all I have to report this week.

Love,

Zack

Sunday Afternoons

Nothing too exciting happening lately, but I took some pictures of our Sunday afternoons. Last week Audrey invited us to her house for dinner.

Audrey and Jeremy Chillin.

Twins chillin!

Kids hanging out on our old trampoline.

Marion & Grandma Sweet chillin

Today, we got to go to my niece, Jodie's for her baby blessing. It's always fun to visit with family. I have to say that Jodie served the best fruit I have had this summer! Her uncle is a professional chef and did a fabulous job of cutting all the fruit up so quick. I think he trying hard not to roll his eyes at my attempts! Love the anticipation in his face!

Tyler installed a zip line in his back yard. Spencer loved it! Unfortunately, the first time he tried it he got stuck right about here and fell flat on his back! Sorry Bud!

John and Jordy bouncing the little kids on the trampoline.

Joyce spent about 90 hours making this exquisite baby dress. I don't think the picture can do it justice! She had already made a dress, but the baby was a little early so it was way too big. You are amazing Joyce!

Did you know?

I watched a program on t.v. about these people who are genius. There is a guy who wrote a program that help to input old books into the computer system. Each time you leave a comment on someone's blog and have to type that silly word, it is a word in a book that was hard to transcribe by the computer, so you are transcribing it for them. Amazing that he would think to do that! Don't you think?
